Description - Fattan
Crisp aromatics, dialled for daily wear. Rasasi Fattan EDP decant from ৳432 in Bangladesh, 5ml to 15ml. Notes of vetiver, cedarwood and oakm

Launched in 2018, Rasasi Fattan is a men's Eau de Toilette that sits squarely in the fresh-woody-citrus family, and it has built a devoted following in the Arabian fragrance world for good reason. It opens clean and bright, settles into an earthy green heart, and dries down to a warm mossy base that punches well above what you'd expect at this price. Aromatica carries the Rasasi Fattan decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, so you can test it properly.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Grapefruit, Bergamot, Pink Pepper

Heart: Vetiver, Cedar, Patchouli, Lily of the Valley

Base: Oakmoss, Amber, Benzoin

The Scent

Grapefruit leads the charge in the opening minutes, delivering a bright and slightly tart impression that feels clean without being sterile. Bergamot softens the edges and keeps it from turning too sharp, while pink pepper adds a fine, dry fizz underneath. It does not blast you; the opening is measured and composed. Within ten minutes you start to feel the vetiver rising, and this is where Fattan reveals its character. The vetiver here is green and earthy, not smoky, giving the whole composition a rooty, naturalistic quality that separates it from a simple citrus fresh. Cedar joins the vetiver and the two form a clean woody backbone that carries through the mid-stage. As those two notes interlock, the grapefruit retreats gradually rather than cutting off abruptly, leaving a faint citrus ghost that keeps the heart feeling airy. Patchouli sits quietly in the background, adding enough shadow to keep things interesting without ever going dark or dirty. The lily of the valley is a genuine surprise for many first-time wearers. It arrives as a cool, slightly soapy floral that blends with the vetiver in an unusual way, creating a green-floral accord you do not often find in masculine fragrances at this price point. It can read as having a quince or crabapple quality in the early heart, a slightly fruity tartness layered into the green, or it can read as purely vegetal depending on skin chemistry. The dry-down is warm and grounded, with oakmoss lending a classic chypre-adjacent quality, amber adding quiet sweetness, and benzoin rounding the whole thing into something smooth and skin-close. The transition from heart to base is gradual, the cedar and vetiver never fully disappearing but slowly being wrapped in the warmer resins until the whole composition feels settled and coherent. At full dry-down, Fattan wears woody and quietly confident, with the earthy vetiver and amber resin sharing equal weight. Opinion is divided on how close it sits to Terre d'Hermes EDT; those who detect the resemblance point to the shared citrus-vetiver-woody structure, while others find Fattan greener, lighter, and more overtly fresh.

When to Wear

Fattan is at its best in spring and early autumn, during the workday or on casual outings where you want to smell polished without announcing yourself. It is also a strong choice for those warmer Dhaka evenings that call for something fresh but not aquatic, something with structure rather than a clean spray.

Who Is It For

Someone who gravitates toward structured woody-fresh scents but does not want to spend niche money on an everyday bottle, and who appreciates depth beneath a clean surface, will find Fattan a natural fit.

If you enjoy the earthy-citrus register of Terre d'Hermes Eau de Parfum Intense, Fattan occupies a lighter, greener version of the same family and is worth placing side by side. Browse the full Rasasi collection at Aromatica.
