Sweet warmth without the heaviness. Authentic Rasasi Hawas Viper EDP decant from ৳425, available in Bangladesh. Notes of ambroxan, ginger an

The Rasasi Hawas family has always been built around performance and bold character, but Hawas Viper Eau de Parfum, released in 2025, takes a sharp turn away from the aquatic freshness of the original. A dark, resinous, deliberately provocative flanker that borrows nothing from its siblings except the name. Aromatica carries the Rasasi Hawas Viper decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, so you can test this one.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Saffron, Cannabis, Thyme, Green Notes, Davana

Heart: Tobacco, Coffee, Cinnamon, Violet, Raspberry

Base: Gurjan Balsam, Musk, Tonka

The Scent

Confrontational from the first spray. Cannabis and saffron hit first, and they hit hard, flanked by the herbal bite of thyme and a greenish, slightly earthy davana note that adds a strange, almost medicinal richness. There is a faint booziness in those first few minutes, and a veil of smoke sits underneath everything. This is not a gentle, linear fragrance. It announces itself.

After ten or fifteen minutes, the smoke begins to settle and the heart starts to emerge. Tobacco and coffee rise together, a pairing that suits the dark character of the opening. The tobacco here is not sweet or gourmand. It reads dry, almost charred, with the coffee deepening the burnt quality. Cinnamon threads through the heart without going sweet, adding warmth rather than spice. Violet appears in the background, softer than the other players, and raspberry gives the faintest fruity counterpoint without ever becoming obvious. The interplay between the charred tobacco and the soft violet creates a tension that keeps the heart from settling into anything predictable.

The transition into the dry-down is where the fragrance earns its admirers. The cannabis and smoke fade back, and what remains is a warm, balsamic, resinous base built around gurjan balsam and tonka. Gurjan balsam is a thick, woody-smoky resin, and paired with the musk and the tonka's soft sweetness, the dry-down reads as deeply cozy and enveloping. The harsh edge of the opening is completely gone by this stage, replaced by something that wears close to the skin and projects warmly. That shift from jagged and green to smooth and balsamic is the central arc of Hawas Viper, and the contrast between those two phases is what makes it linger in the memory.

The cannabis note can read unwearable or too medicinal on the opening, and this is not a fragrance to blind-buy if you have no experience with cannabis-forward scents. It can read bold and fascinating depending on skin and expectation, with those drawn to its daring opening praising Rasasi for attempting this kind of dark, niche-adjacent profile at an accessible price. The comparison to Orto Parisi Terroni comes up among enthusiasts. Cool weather is the clear setting for Hawas Viper. It is not a summer or office choice.

When to Wear

Hawas Viper is built for autumn and winter evenings, particularly late-night outings, dinners at dark restaurants, or nights where you want something moody and attention-grabbing. The bold opening and resinous dry-down make it better suited to cool air and low-lit settings than any daytime or warm-weather context. Who Is It For

Someone who already wears dark orientals or niche smoky fragrances and wants to explore an unconventional, cannabis-accented take from an Arabian house will find Hawas Viper a rewarding addition. Not recommended as a starting point for someone new to bold or polarizing scents.

If you enjoy Hawas Elixir but want something darker and more challenging, Viper is worth comparing, though the DNA is quite different. For a deeper look at the full lineup, browse the Rasasi collection at Aromatica.

Available as an authentic decant in Bangladesh at Aromatica in 3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml.
