The Scent

Orange and grapefruit open together, citrus-driven but quieter than you might expect from a parfum concentration. They arrive bright and clean, but do not announce themselves loudly. The higher concentration seems to press them down into the composition rather than letting them float freely above it. The moss here is not sharp or medicinal; it reads as cool, damp soil after rain, a counterpoint to the warmth that follows. Then benzoin arrives, a warm balsamic resin that rounds the whole composition into something considerably warmer and more enveloping than the EDT ever becomes. The result, in the base, is wood-forward with a resinous warmth, the kind of dry-down that feels settled and complete rather than still evolving.

Where the EDT reads as open air and rough terrain, the Parfum reads as the inside of a wooden room after rain. It is more intimate, more interior, and considerably richer in its later stages. The benzoin does not read as overtly sweet here. It works more as a softening agent beneath the dry woodsy notes and the moss, pulling the composition toward something warm and slightly balsamic without tipping into gourmand territory. Expect the citrus to disappear early and the woody-resinous base to carry the fragrance through the dry-down.
