Description - Reflection 45
Polished woods with a herbal lift. Amouage Reflection 45 Extrait decant from ৳2,089 in Bangladesh, 3ml to 9ml. Notes of clary sage, lavender
Lucas Sieuzac built Reflection 45 Man in 2021 as an extrait reworking of Amouage's original Reflection Man, and it wears like the same idea seen under sharper light. The house kept the aromatic, iris-tinted skeleton but pushed the concentration up, so everything reads denser and closer to skin. Aromatica carries the Amouage Reflection 45 Man decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes. Where the original leaned crisp and office-ready, this version has more weight in the chest, more resin, less air. It still opens on lavender and pink pepper but the extrait format means those notes arrive thicker, almost creamy, before the iris and incense take over.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Lavender, Juniper Berries, Cardamom, Clary Sage, Benzoin, Pink Pepper
Heart: Iris, Jasmine, Neroli, Angelica, Tonka Bean, Vanilla
Base: Olibanum, Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli, Myrrh, Opoponax
The Scent
Pink pepper registers first, dry and slightly metallic, backed almost immediately by lavender that smells more like a lavender field after rain than the sharp barbershop version. Cardamom and clary sage sit underneath, giving the opening a herbal, faintly medicinal edge that keeps it from turning sweet too early. Benzoin shows up within the first few minutes, and this is where the extrait concentration matters: it thickens the air around the citrus-free top accord instead of letting it evaporate the way the original eau de parfum did. Iris arrives cool and powdery around the thirty-minute mark, and it is the note that defines the whole heart. Jasmine and neroli add a soft floral lift, but angelica keeps pulling things back toward something rooty and slightly bitter, which stops the composition from reading as a straightforward floral. Tonka bean and vanilla start creeping in during the second hour, and this is the surprise transition: the fragrance goes from austere and iris-forward to noticeably warmer and almost gourmand without ever tipping into dessert territory. Some skin chemistry pushes the vanilla harder, other skin keeps it subdued behind the resins, so the sweetness level genuinely varies from wearer to wearer. The dry-down is where olibanum, myrrh, and opoponax take the lead, building a dense incense-and-resin base that sandalwood and cedar round out with a soft woody hum. Vetiver and patchouli stay low in the mix, adding earth rather than announcing themselves. By the final stretch, the lavender and pepper are long gone and what remains is a warm, resinous, slightly powdery skin scent that still carries a trace of that opening iris.
When to Wear
This sits best in cool-weather evening settings, a dinner reservation, a gallery opening, a winter wedding where a jacket is expected. The resin and incense base wants some chill in the air rather than heat, and it reads better after dark than under midday sun. Save it for occasions with a bit of formality; it is too dense and too slow-building for a quick errand or a gym bag.
Who Is It For
Someone who already owns a few Amouage bottles and wants the same DNA turned up, or a wearer drawn to incense-heavy orientals who finds most mainstream florals too thin. It suits a person who does not mind a fragrance that takes twenty minutes to fully open before showing its hand.
If you enjoy Reflection Man, the original Amouage release this extrait reworks, it makes an interesting side-by-side comparison in the same lavender-iris family. Browse the full Amouage collection at Aromatica.
