Description - Ombre Leather Parfum
Leather and smoke, dialled back from heavy. Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum decant from ৳999 in Bangladesh, 3ml to 9ml. Notes of leather, card
Sonia Constant built Ombre Leather Parfum in 2021 as the concentrated, more brooding sibling to the eau de parfum that made this line a modern classic. Tom Ford's Private Blend team took the original's suede sketch and pushed it darker, denser, closer to skin. Aromatica carries the Ombre Leather Parfum decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, so you can spend real time with a fragrance that rewards patience rather than announcing itself in the first thirty seconds.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Violet Leaf, Cedar
Heart: Jasmine Sambac, Orris
Base: Leather, Woody Notes, Tobacco
The Scent
Violet leaf registers first, green and slightly bitter rather than sweet, with cedar running underneath it like a plank of freshly planed wood. There is nothing floral or soft about this opening; it reads mineral and cool, almost metallic against skin. Within the first twenty minutes, jasmine sambac starts to surface, but it never becomes a bouquet. It stays narrow and indolic, twisted together with orris so the two heart notes feel like one grey, powdery accord rather than two distinct flowers. That orris is the surprise here: instead of the usual violet-root suede effect, it comes across almost like wet stone, which throws some wearers off on first try and wins others over completely. Give it another twenty minutes and the leather starts pushing through from underneath, not sharp or animalic but sanded smooth, closer to a worn jacket than fresh hide. The tobacco arrives last and low, adding a faint sweetness that never turns gourmand. By the two-hour mark the composition has folded into itself: cedar, leather, and tobacco sit together as one dense woody-leather base with the orris still humming underneath, powdery and cool. The dry-down is where this parfum concentration actually separates itself from the eau de parfum version; everything feels more compressed, less airy, with the leather note gaining a slightly resinous, almost waxed quality. There is no citrus, no spice detour, no sweetness spike. It moves in one direction, from green and mineral to dark and polished, and stays there.
When to Wear
This is a late-autumn and winter fragrance for evening wear, the kind of thing you reach for on a cold-weather dinner out or a formal gathering where a leather jacket would also be appropriate. It suits boardroom meetings after dark and quiet whisky bars more than daytime errands. Explore the rest of the Tom Ford collection if this density and structure appeals to you.
Who Is It For
Someone who already owns a few leather-forward scents and wants one with more grey, powdery restraint instead of sweetness will recognize this immediately. It suits a wearer who prefers structured, mineral compositions over anything fruity or loud.
Anyone drawn to this should try the original Ombre Leather, its airier, more diffusive predecessor built on the same suede-and-violet skeleton. Browse the full Tom Ford collection at Aromatica for more from the Private Blend line.
