Description - Myslf le Parfum
A woody you actually want to wear daily. Myslf le Parfum decant from ৳725, shipped across Bangladesh. Notes of clary sage, guaiac wood and g

Where the original MYSLF Eau de Parfum played it bright and sweet, Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF Le Parfum turns the dial toward something darker and more deliberate. Released in 2024, this Le Parfum concentration takes the same DNA and wraps it in a richer, warmer coat. It sits in the oriental woody category for men, built around the contrast between a clean floral heart and a deep, resinous base. Aromatica carries the YSL MYSLF Le Parfum decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Black Pepper

Heart: Orange Blossom

Base: Bourbon Vanilla, Amber, Woody Notes, Patchouli

The Scent

Black pepper announces itself with a dry, crackling sharpness that lands without sweetness. It reads almost smoky on first contact, spicy without leaning into the hot-spice category. Within a few minutes, the heat mellows and something cleaner starts to rise underneath. The orange blossom arrives in the heart and it is the most interesting decision in the formula. This is not a powdery floral or a fruity bloom; it is white, almost soapy, and cool, providing genuine contrast against the warm base that is already building beneath it. That tension between a cool floral and a warming resinous undercurrent is what makes the opening act worth paying attention to.

The transition from heart to base is where MYSLF Le Parfum makes its statement. Bourbon vanilla begins to surface around fifteen to twenty minutes in and it is richer than the original EDP. It reads syrupy at first, almost gourmand, and the amber reinforces that warmth without adding sweetness of its own. The woody notes are present from early in this transition, filling in the space between the floral heart and the resinous base with a dry, slightly smoky texture that keeps the composition grounded. The patchouli is restrained here, used more as a grounding agent than a featured note. It adds a subtle earthiness that keeps the vanilla from running too sweet and gives the base a textured, layered quality that rewards closer attention.

By the time the dry-down sets in fully, you have a warm, resinous skin scent built around bourbon vanilla and amber, with woody notes quietly filling the background. The patchouli continues to work in the background at this stage, barely perceptible on its own but doing real structural work in keeping the base from collapsing into a single flat warmth. The amber here is not the sharp, aggressive amber of many oriental compositions; it is softer, more diffuse, and it folds quietly into the vanilla rather than competing with it. It can read as a more complete and confident version of the original, the one that stays interesting from open to close, or it can settle into a pleasant but generic warm woody amber depending on skin and expectation. Both readings are fair. What is not debatable is that the orange blossom and bourbon vanilla pairing creates a genuine tension early on that keeps you noticing the fragrance rather than forgetting you are wearing it. The interplay between the cool soapy floral and the steadily deepening resinous base gives the composition a layered quality that unfolds gradually across the wear, with each stage feeling like a natural extension of the last rather than an abrupt shift.

When to Wear

MYSLF Le Parfum belongs to autumn and winter, and to evenings more than mornings. The richness of the bourbon vanilla and amber makes it a natural fit for dinner dates, evening events, or late-night social settings where a warmer, more enveloping scent works in your favor. It crosses into Amber and Resin territory clearly enough that cool-weather day wear is also workable, especially in air-conditioned offices where the scent settles close and controlled.

Who Is It For

Someone who already wears and likes the original MYSLF EDP but wants something with more weight and intensity will find this a natural next step, as will a wearer drawn to oriental-woody fragrances who wants a designer-house version with a polished, accessible quality rather than niche rawness.

If you want to compare it directly to its origin, MYSLF Eau de Parfum is worth testing side by side. Browse the full Yves Saint Laurent collection at Aromatica.
