Description - Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48
Cozy and refined, never sticky. Genuine Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 EDP decant from ৳917 in Bangladesh. Notes of tonka bean, praline

Cherry and smoke are not obvious partners, but Kayali makes the case for them with Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 Eau de Parfum, released in 2022 by perfumers Gabriela Chelariu and Philippine Courtiere. This unisex oriental-woody EDP sits in a category all its own: part fruity gourmand, part bonfire warmth, with a dark, resinous backbone that keeps it from reading as a simple candy scent. Aromatica carries the Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Burning Cherry, Raspberry, Bergamot

Heart: Praline, Heliotrope, Damask Rose Essence, Jasmine Sambac

Base: Palo Santo, Tonka Bean, Guaiac Wood, Peru Balsam, Ambrettolide, Patchouli, Haitian Vetiver

The Scent

Ripe, tart cherry hits first, carrying a slightly smoky quality that arrives right alongside the fruit rather than waiting for the dry-down. Ripe, tart cherry leads the way, with raspberry adding brightness and a jammy lift, while bergamot keeps the whole top from going syrupy by lending a faintly citrus-zest sharpness. This is not a candy cherry or a cocktail cherry. It reads darker, like fruit left near a fire.

As the top notes settle, praline begins building a soft, nutty-sweet bed beneath the cherry, and heliotrope brings a powdery almond whisper that fuses with the fruit in an unexpected way. Damask Rose Essence and Jasmine Sambac enter quietly in the heart, adding a floral depth rather than a floral loudness. They warm the composition without pushing it toward a traditional feminine floral. The jasmine in particular adds a slight creamy richness that leans into the gourmand territory the praline has been setting up. This transition from bright, smoky fruit into a soft floral-and-nut accord is one of the more satisfying mid-section movements in the Kayali range, with each note yielding gradually to the next rather than snapping into place. The praline and heliotrope together create a muted, almost confectionery warmth that holds the cherry in suspension rather than drowning it.

The dry-down is where Palo Santo takes over and the fragrance earns its "Burning" name properly. Palo Santo is a sacred wood with a distinctive character: slightly sweet, resinous, and genuinely smoky in a clean rather than harsh way. It lifts the cherry from the fruity world into something moodier. Guaiac Wood adds texture and a soft smokiness of its own, and Peru Balsam brings a warm, honeyed balsamic depth underneath everything. Tonka Bean rounds off the edges with its coumarin-like sweetness, while patchouli and Haitian Vetiver provide an earthy, slightly green grounding that stops the base from feeling too sweet or one-dimensional. The ambrettolide threads through the base with a subtle musky quality, softening the woody-resinous layer and helping the whole composition settle into skin warmly.

It can read as a deep, cozy cherry-and-smoke accord in cooler weather, with the two elements reinforcing each other rather than competing. The smoke can also sit close to the skin, revealing itself to those nearby rather than announcing itself across a room, or it can read bold and present, with the smoke louder and more expansive. Skin chemistry appears to be the deciding factor in how intimate or outward-facing the smoke reads on any given person.

When to Wear

Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 is best suited to autumn and winter evenings, particularly for dinners, date nights, and moments where warmth and a little darkness feel right. The date nights collection at Aromatica is full of fragrances in a similar register if you want to compare options.

Who Is It For

The person who finds straight-sweet fruity fragrances too easy and wants a cherry scent with smoke, resin, and actual character will find this composition rewarding. It appeals equally to women and men who are comfortable with bold, unconventional compositions that blur the line between gourmand and woody oriental.

If you enjoy Playing With The Devil by Kilian, the dark rose-and-cherry DNA overlaps closely and the two are worth layering or comparing side by side. Browse the full Kayali collection at Aromatica to explore the other scents in the range.

Available as an authentic decant in Bangladesh at Aromatica in 3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml.
