How does it compare with Hawas Elixir?

Fresh against gourmand. Hawas is the aquatic: apple, bergamot and lemon with a touch of cinnamon into watery notes, plum and cardamom, over ambergris, musk and driftwood. Hawas Elixir drops all of that for mint, bergamot and artemisia into dark chocolate, lavender and benzoin over vanilla and tonka. The name is the only real connection between them, so buying one because you liked the other is the mistake to avoid.

Is it a genuine Dhaka daily wear?

It is one of the better ones, and the driftwood base is the reason. Apple and citrus thin quickly in high heat as always, but the watery notes in the heart read cooler against hot skin than they do in winter, and cardamom keeps a dry spice edge running underneath. Ambergris, musk and driftwood are all light, salty materials that stay close without gaining weight. Nothing in this formula sweetens through a humid afternoon.
