3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml decant sizes

Please note: bottle visuals shown above may vary slightly from the current bottles in use; the volumes remain the same. Decants are produced manually in a sterilized environment and shipped with a spray atomizer.

Description

About this fragrance

Veneno is the 2025 apple-and-tobacco release from French Avenue, the Fragrance World house, and the original of a line that also includes Veneno Scarlet and Veneno Bianco. Fragrantica credits the composition to Jean-Louis Sieuzac. It smells like a tin of sweet apple pipe tobacco warmed with cinnamon and a curl of smoke, drying down to soft bourbon vanilla. The bottle and box get almost as much attention as the juice.

Notes, the scent, when to wear, and who it is for.

Common Questions

Good to know

  • It is the comparison made most often on Fragrantica and Parfumo. Estimates range from about 70 to 80 percent to nearly the same, built on the shared apple, cinnamon and tobacco structure. French Avenue has never named an inspiration, so the link is the community's reading rather than a stated reference.
  • It is a question that comes up repeatedly in the Fragrantica comments, because both are read as takes on the same apple tobacco. Some reviewers find them interchangeable. Others say Mashrabya carries a cherry note Veneno lacks, and that Veneno sits closer to the Kilian. Neither one is a clear winner.
  • Fragrantica lists it for women and men and Parfumo lists it for men, and reviewers on Fragrantica are split the same way: some call it masculine-leaning, others say it reads more feminine, and one finds nothing gendered in it at all. Sweet apple over honeyed tobacco sits in neutral territory, so skin and expectation decide it.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Apple, Smoke, Cinnamon

Heart: Tobacco, Moss

Base: Bourbon Vanilla, Orcanox

Notes verified from Fragrantica.

The Scent

The opening is the whole point. Red apple arrives sweet and slightly cooked, cinnamon warms it, and a thin layer of smoke sits over the top, so the first impression is apple shisha rather than fresh fruit. On some skin the cinnamon and smoke read as licorice or anise for a few minutes, which a handful of reviewers mention and which fades once the tobacco arrives. Others hear celery or dark chocolate, notes the pyramid does not list, which says more about how smoke and cinnamon play on different skin than about anything hidden.

The heart is tobacco leaf, sweet and honeyed rather than dry or ashy, with a touch of moss giving it a darker, slightly damp edge. This stage carries the apple along with it, and the combination is what most people describe when they talk about Veneno: a pipe-tobacco sweetness with fruit still clinging to it.

The base settles into bourbon vanilla and Orcanox, an ambery woody material that adds a dry, faintly mineral warmth. The smoke softens, the apple recedes, and the late stage is a soft, sweet tobacco vanilla. How much smoke you notice varies a lot by person, from barely there to the defining feature.

When to Wear

Veneno is an evening and cool-weather scent. The cooked apple, cinnamon and tobacco are dense and sweet, which suits winter nights, dinners and dates far better than a hot afternoon. Reviewers place it firmly at night and in autumn and winter, and several call it too much of a statement for the office or casual errands. In Bangladesh that means the dry months and air-conditioned evenings rather than the monsoon.

Who Is It For

Anyone who likes sweet tobacco and wants something with more personality than a standard fresh or woody signature. It suits a buyer who has heard of the apple-tobacco style in niche perfumery and wants to try it at an Arabian-house price. The gender reading is genuinely mixed: some find it masculine, some lean it feminine, and it works on either. If you dislike sweetness, smoke, or anything that smells like a hookah lounge, it is not your scent. It also works as a first step into the apple-tobacco genre, since the defining accord is all here at a fraction of niche pricing.

The rest of the house is in the French Avenue collection, and more pipe-tobacco and leaf-tobacco scents sit in the tobacco fragrance collection.

Veneno is decanted into 5ml, 9ml and 15ml sizes.
