Warm, spiced, and built for evenings that matter, French Avenue Spectre Ghost is an Eau de Parfum released in 2023 that punches well above its price point. It sits in the aromatic-amber-floral category, led by cardamom, ginger, and a rich vanilla-sandalwood base. If you know Nishane Ani, the DNA here will feel instantly familiar. Aromatica carries the French Avenue Spectre Ghost decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Ginger, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Green Notes

Heart: Cardamom, Black Currant, Turkish Rose

Base: Vanilla, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Cedar, Ambergris, Patchouli, Musk

The Scent

Ginger and bergamot open together, giving you something citrusy and zingy, while pink pepper adds a quiet heat right from the first spray. It does not read sharp or scratchy. The green note in the top sits behind everything else, contributing a faint freshness that stops the opening from feeling too warm. Within ten minutes the spice settles and the real character of the fragrance starts to emerge. Cardamom takes over the heart with quiet confidence. It is the kind of cardamom that leans sweet rather than culinary, and it threads into the black currant beautifully, adding a dark, slightly tart fruitiness that prevents the composition from going full gourmand. Turkish rose appears in the heart too, though it can read more as a presence than a note you can point to directly. It adds softness and a powdery-floral dimension without turning the scent feminine. The rose and black currant together create a push and pull between sweetness and depth that keeps the heart interesting. The transition from the spiced top into the rose-and-currant heart is gradual and well-blended, with the ginger slowly receding as the cardamom asserts itself. That movement from bright citrus-spice into darker, fruitier territory is one of the more satisfying moments the composition offers. As the fragrance moves into the dry-down, vanilla and sandalwood take the wheel. The vanilla here is warm and resinous rather than sugary, supported by benzoin that deepens it further. Sandalwood provides a creamy, smooth wood layer underneath, and cedar adds a touch of dryness to balance the sweetness. Ambergris and patchouli appear late in the base. The ambergris gives the scent a soft, skin-close warmth, while patchouli rounds out the earthiness without going dark. Musk runs underneath everything, keeping the overall impression clean and wearable. The full dry-down is smooth, amber-warm, and slightly powdery, with the spice from the opening fading to a memory. It reads as an accessible, well-crafted spiced-woody amber with clear inspiration from Nishane Ani.

When to Wear

Spectre Ghost belongs to autumn and winter evenings, where the spiced warmth of cardamom and vanilla land exactly right. It is well suited to dinner dates, evening gatherings, and settings where you want a scent with presence and depth without going full-oriental. Explore the Dates and Nights collection for more fragrances in the same after-dark register.

Who Is It For

Built for the person who wants something spiced, warm, and slightly elevated without spending niche money. If you gravitate toward cardamom-vanilla-woody scents and enjoy building a rotation around that DNA, Spectre Ghost earns its place comfortably.

The sibling fragrance Spectre Wraith shares the Spectre line DNA and is worth comparing directly. Browse the full French Avenue collection at Aromatica.
