Common Questions
Good to know
-
It draws from the same clean, aromatic school. Maahir Legacy opens with a genuinely effervescent lime-and-mint blast, grapefruit and pineapple rounding the edges, before black pepper, rosemary and juniper berry build a dry aromatic heart, then ambroxan, vetiver, oakmoss, cashmeran and tonka settle into a modern, skin-close base. It shares the Cool Water school's clean freshness but updates the finish with a more current ambroxan-forward dry-down. See Cool Water.
-
No, and that assumption would be a mistake. This is a bright aromatic built on lime, mint, grapefruit and pineapple into rosemary, juniper berry and frankincense, closing on ambroxan, vetiver, oakmoss and tonka. Maahir Black Edition is a smoky leather with cade oil, labdanum and guaiac wood, sharing no notes worth mentioning. Buying one because you liked the other is the mistake to avoid. See Maahir Black Edition.
-
Yes, and it is built for exactly that. Lime, mint and grapefruit give a genuinely effervescent opening that reads cooler on hot skin than in cold air, and while all three go quickly, rosemary and juniper keep the middle dry and herbal rather than sweet. Ambroxan and oakmoss underneath add warmth without weight, and there is no sugar or vanilla anywhere for humidity to amplify.
-
It depends on your skin's reaction to ambroxan specifically. It can read clean and slightly powdery on some skin and purely magnetic and forward on others, since ambroxan behaves differently depending on skin chemistry. Cashmeran and oakmoss add texture around it, so the base is not entirely one-dimensional, but ambroxan's signature quality is unmistakably the dominant read in the dry-down.
-
How prominent the ambroxan base reads varies significantly by individual skin chemistry, from a quiet, powdery warmth to something considerably more forward. Since that single material defines the entire dry-down, testing the 5ml to 15ml range settles how it performs on your skin specifically before spending more on a full bottle.
-
Frequently compared to Parfums de Marly Sedley Eau de Parfum; Maahir Legacy tracks the same citrus-aromatic structure but adds pineapple and black pepper for a sharper opening, while Sedley's sandalwood-cedar base gives it a smoother, more polished finish than Maahir Legacy's oakmoss-forward wood.
-
Maahir Legacy opens on a fizzy lime, mint and grapefruit blast with a soft pineapple undertone before settling into a darker, powdery ambroxan base. It's frequently compared to Parfums de Marly Sedley, though Maahir Legacy reads sweeter and more tropical up top and heavier underneath, missing some of Sedley's mid notes and landing on the more mature side of the match.
