The Scent

The first thing the nose registers is apple, crisp and slightly tart, brightened by bergamot and pushed sideways by cardamom's warm rasp. It is a strange, likeable combination, fruit and spice crossing paths before either one settles. Within minutes tobacco starts to show through, not smoky exactly, more like the sweet-dry smell of cured leaf, and it pulls the fruit toward something richer.
