Description - Greek Tobacco
Modern florals with serious craft. Ibraheem Al Qurashi Greek Tobacco Parfum from ৳235, authentic decants in Bangladesh. Notes of rose, iris
Part of Ibraheem Al Qurashi's 2023 Tobacco Collection, Greek Tobacco Extrait de Parfum is easily the most deceptive name in the lineup. Pick it up expecting a smoky, leafy tobacco bomb and you get something closer to an airy, fruit-forward floral with tobacco quietly anchoring the base. It is unisex on paper and genuinely unisex in practice, sitting comfortably on any skin. Aromatica carries the Ibraheem Al Qurashi Greek Tobacco decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, so trying it is straightforward.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Lychee, Narcissus, Rose
Heart: Apricot, Iris, Orange Blossom
Base: Peony, Musk, Tobacco
The Scent
Lychee leads immediately, bright and slightly watery, reading more like crushed lychee skin than syrup. It carries that translucent, almost green quality rather than sticky sweetness. Narcissus arrives almost simultaneously, adding a cool, slightly soapy depth that keeps the fruit from feeling like a juice drink. Rose weaves in underneath, soft and underpowered rather than bold, functioning more as texture than a statement note. In the first ten minutes this wears almost like a skin-close aquatic floral, fresh without being sharp. The interplay between lychee and narcissus is particularly interesting: the fruit keeps the narcissus from tipping into cold floral territory, while the narcissus keeps the lychee grounded and mineral rather than tropical.
As the heart develops over the next twenty to thirty minutes, apricot pushes the lychee aside and brings a gentle, creamy fruitiness that bridges the gap between the top and the florals. The apricot does not read as candied or jammy; it stays pale and almost milky, easing the transition toward the powdery middle without any abrupt jump. Iris shows up here as a slightly powdery, cool pencil-shavings note, which can read as either a point of pleasure or mild annoyance depending on your tolerance for that accord. Orange blossom adds a white-floral brightness without going heady or indolic. The combination at peak heart is fruity-powdery-floral, clean and polished, sitting close to skin. At this stage it can read close to Ex Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique -- a fair comparison -- and depending on skin chemistry it comes across as either a more accessible take on that style or a slightly less complex one.
The dry-down is where the tobacco finally appears, and it is not what the name implies. The tobacco note is extremely light, more of a warm, slightly sweet leaf than any recognizable pipe or cigarette character. It does little more than add a gentle earthiness that stops the musk from reading as purely laundry-clean. Peony in the base blends almost invisibly with the musk, keeping the overall impression soft and skin-like into the late dry-down. The late stages hold that same pale, quietly creamy character established in the heart, with the lychee's watery brightness now replaced by a warmer, more settled softness. The finish is clean, quietly sweet, and slightly powdery. The tobacco's restraint here is deliberate: it functions as a grounding agent for the musk and peony rather than asserting itself as the dominant accord, which makes the overall arc feel cohesive rather than disjointed.
When to Wear
Greek Tobacco wears best in spring and early autumn, particularly in office settings or daytime social situations where something fresh and polished is more appropriate than something bold and projecting. The light tobacco base gives it enough warmth to carry into a mild evening without feeling out of place.
Who Is It For
Drawn to clean, fruit-forward florals with a touch of dry warmth in the base rather than a full tobacco fragrance, wearers who enjoy Fleur Narcotique-style compositions but want something at a lower price point will find this a natural fit.
If you enjoy the earthy-floral direction of Arabian Tobacco, Greek Tobacco is the lighter, fruitier counterpart from the same collection worth comparing side by side. Browse the full Ibraheem Al Qurashi collection at Aromatica for the rest of the Tobacco series and beyond.
