About our decants

At Aromatica, we hand-decant authentic perfumes from original full-size bottles into smaller atomizers. This lets you experience the full dry-down on your skin before committing to a full bottle, or own and wear several signature scents at a fraction of the cost.

3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml decant sizes

Please note: bottle visuals shown above may vary slightly from the current bottles in use; the volumes remain the same. Decants are produced manually in a sterilized environment and shipped with a spray atomizer.

Description

About this fragrance

When Middle Eastern perfumery goes dark and uncompromising, the results can leave a mark you carry for years. Ibraheem Al Qurashi Blue Oud, released in 2022, is an Eau de Parfum built for people who want their oud unapologetic and raw. It is a unisex composition that pairs ancient oud resin with leathery and aquatic notes in a way that feels distinctly Arabian in spirit. Aromatica carries the Ibraheem Al Qurashi Blue Oud decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

Common Questions

Good to know

  • Both share an oud, leather and patchouli base from the same house, but Blue Oud opens on oud and blue lilies for a brief aquatic coolness, while Brazilian Tobacco opens with pink pepper, red chilli and lavender for a spicier start. Once the leather and patchouli heart sets in, Blue Oud stays cooler and more medicinal throughout its wear. See Brazilian Tobacco.
  • Yes. Blue Oud shares Black Aoud's raw, inky, leather-forward oud character rather than the polished ouds from Western luxury houses. Its blue lily opening adds a fleeting aquatic coolness that Black Aoud lacks, but once the leather and patchouli heart takes hold, both fragrances sit in the same unapologetic, resinous oud family. See Black Aoud.
  • Worth trying. Blue Oud pairs its leather with oud, patchouli and tobacco rather than featuring it alone, while MANTA LTHR from the same house isolates that leather facet and pushes it further as the main focus. If the leather heart of Blue Oud is what caught your attention, MANTA LTHR shows what that note does on its own. See MANTA LTHR.

The Scent

A wall of oud that is inky, dark, and animalic hits immediately on first spray. This is not the polished, refined oud of luxury Western houses. It is raw and resinous, with a faint medicinal edge that can feel striking to some and takes a moment of adjustment for others. The blue lilies at the top add a surprising, almost aquatic coolness that lifts the oud slightly, giving it a glassy sheen rather than a purely smoky character. The contrast between the two opening notes is where this fragrance earns its name. That aquatic blue quality does not last long, but it creates a brief moment of unexpected freshness before the composition turns darker and drier. As the lilies recede, the oud grows denser and more resinous, pressing its inky weight forward without softening. The medicinal quality tightens briefly at this stage, then the note rounds out as the heart materials begin to rise.

As it settles into the heart over the first twenty minutes, leather takes over as a dominant partner to the oud. This leather is dry and worn, not fresh or suede-like. Patchouli adds an earthy, slightly dark greenness underneath, grounding the composition and adding depth without sweetness. The oud and patchouli interact in a way that feels almost medicinal at times, before the leather pulls the accord back into familiar dark-oriental territory. The combination of oud, leather, and patchouli in the heart phase is where most wearers form their opinion. It can read meditative and rich or too blunt, depending on skin and preference. Both reactions are fair.

The dry-down brings tobacco and amber gradually warming the composition from below. The tobacco here reads as dry leaf rather than sweet or gourmand, keeping the fragrance in firmly dark-oriental territory. Amber smooths the edges without making it soft or powdery. By the time Blue Oud fully dries down, it sits close to the skin as a warm, leathery oud with a faint sweetness and that lingering patchouli earthiness. The initial cool note of blue lily is long gone at this stage, replaced entirely by resinous warmth. Ibraheem Al Qurashi Brazilian Tobacco works a similar oud-leather-patchouli combination into its own base, though it opens on pink pepper, red chilli, and lavender rather than blue lily.

When to Wear

Blue Oud is best suited to cooler months, from autumn through winter, when its density and warmth make sense against cold air. It fits evening occasions well, from a formal dinner to a gathering where you want your presence to be noticed before you speak.

Who Is It For

Built for the wearer who already loves classical Arabian oud and wants something with leather and tobacco weight, not for someone looking for their first oud fragrance or something crowd-friendly. Confident, deliberate wearers who have already worked through lighter ouds will find this rewarding.

Nuclear projection. Beast mode longevity (12-24+ hours). Not safe for blind buying. Too aggressive for office wear.
