Description - Dioriviera
A composed floral, neither shy nor heavy. Genuine Dioriviera EDP decant from ৳713 in Bangladesh. Notes of rose and fig.
Francis Kurkdjian's first composition as Dior's perfume creation director was not the citrus and sea breeze everyone predicted. Dioriviera landed in 2023 in La Collection Privee as an eau de parfum built on green fig and rose, a combination that reads sunlit rather than sharp. Dior keeps the note list deliberately short, and the fragrance is as uncomplicated as that suggests. Aromatica carries the Dioriviera decant in Bangladesh, which is the practical way in given what a bottle of the Privee line costs.
Fragrance Notes
Notes: Fig, Green Notes, Rose
Dior and Fragrantica both publish this one as a flat note list rather than a top, heart and base pyramid, so it is given here exactly as the house states it.
The Scent
Fig is the loudest thing in it, and it is the green leaf side of fig rather than the milky fruit side that most fig fragrances chase. That distinction matters, because it means the opening smells like a tree in sun rather than a dessert. Green notes sit alongside the fig and push it further toward stems and sap. The rose comes in underneath and is not the star, working more as a rounding agent that keeps the greenery from turning bitter. As it settles, the fig and rose together produce a clean, slightly soapy accord that many reviewers name specifically, and whether you read that as elegant or as generic is the main dividing line in the reviews. Several people describe a creamy sandalwood impression in the later stages even though no wood is listed, which is likely the fig and rose resolving rather than an added material. Praise centres on how easy it is to wear and how well made it feels. Criticism is blunt and comes up often, that it is unoriginal for the price and that the fig can dominate everything else. The comparisons repeated in reviews are Diptyque Philosykos and Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee, both of which cost less and cover similar ground. Reviewers who like it tend to be people who wanted a fig fragrance with better polish and were willing to pay for it. In heat it holds its green character well, which is not something every fig fragrance manages, and that alone makes it worth considering here.
When to Wear
Spring and summer, and it works across office days and casual daytime plans without asking for attention. Warm mornings, lunches, and anywhere air conditioning is not guaranteed. Aromatica's green and leafy fragrances sit in the same family.
Who Is It For
Someone who wants a green fig without the milky sweetness most of them carry, and who would rather smell expensive than interesting. It suits people who wear fragrance to work and want a compliment without a conversation.
If you want something in the same fresh floral register, Delina La Rosee covers the dewy end of that territory. Browse the full Dior collection at Aromatica.
