It takes the familiar citrus-patchouli DNA of the original and pushes it deeper, warmer, and more amber-forward. The patchouli is amplified, tonka bean and vanilla from Madagascar are added, and the result is a richer, more evening-appropriate version that has earned its own following. The Scent
The opening mirrors the original with citrus, but it is darker from the start. Sicilian orange and bergamot arrive with the same polished brightness, but lemon adds a sharper, slightly sour edge that sets Intense apart within the first minute. The citrus phase is shorter here, giving way to the heart more quickly. Rose and jasmine are present in the heart, but they are less distinct than in the original. The "fruity notes" listed act as a bridge between the citrus top and the heavy base, adding a faintly berry-like sweetness that is hard to pin down.
