The Scent
Peach comes first, and it reads as ripe rather than synthetic. It has that soft, supple quality of a fruit note done well, not sharp candy, not artificial nectar. Jasmine arrives almost immediately behind it, keeping things clean and bright, lifting what could have been a heavy fruity opening into something airier and more feminine. The two notes sit together well, each checking the other from going too far in one direction. The peach stays present longer than expected, threading through the jasmine rather than being eclipsed by it, so the early stage has a warmth that reads as both floral and faintly sweet simultaneously.
As the fragrance moves into the heart, caramel takes over the central role, but this is not the burnt-sugar caramel of a gourmand perfume. It reads closer to a sweet cream or a mild dulce de leche, smooth and warm without being cloying. Amber wraps around it and adds depth, giving the composition a golden, enveloping quality that starts pulling it away from the fruity floral and toward something more resinous and sensual. The transition from the peach-jasmine opening into the caramel-amber heart is gradual rather than abrupt, and during the overlap there is a brief moment where all four notes coexist, producing a honeyed softness that is one of the more appealing phases of the wear.
The drydown is where the character locks in. Sandalwood and patchouli emerge from underneath the amber, and together they add a creamy, woody structure that supports everything above. The patchouli here is modern and clean, functioning more as a fixative than a featured note, adding weight to the base without turning dark or earthy. Sandalwood contributes a milky smoothness that echoes the caramel from the heart, so the whole composition feels cohesive from start to finish. There is a split between wearers who find the dry-down predominantly sweet and creamy, and those who get a more balanced woody amber character.
