Description - Viride
Woody, herbal, grown-up. Authentic Orto Parisi Viride Parfum decant from ৳1,513, available in Bangladesh. Notes of lavender, artemisia and c

Alessandro Gualtieri built his reputation on raw, primal work, and Viride carries that fingerprint from the first breath. Orto Parisi released this extrait de parfum in 2014 as a unisex composition that reads like a crushed handful of bitter herbs pulled straight from cold soil. It sits closer to a botanical garden after rain than to any polished designer green. Anyone weighing the Viride price in Bangladesh should know this is a deliberately herbal, woody statement rather than an easy crowd fragrance.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Wormwood, Artemisia, Lavender

Heart: Jasmine

Base: Fir, Juniper, Cedar, Tobacco, Musk

The Scent

Wormwood and artemisia arrive first, sharp and almost medicinal, with lavender folded in to keep the herbal edge from turning purely bitter. Those two herbs set the tone immediately, dry and slightly camphorous, closer to a bundle of foraged plants than to anything cultivated. Within the first fifteen minutes the greenness reads as stems snapped in half, wet and slightly resinous, and the lavender softens the sharpest corners without ever sweetening them. As the opening loosens, the artemisia keeps its cold bitterness while the wormwood pulls back enough to let air move through the composition. Jasmine surfaces at the heart around the half-hour mark, though it stays quiet and never turns into a floral centerpiece, more a soft glow behind the herbs than a bloom in front of them. That restraint matters, because it keeps the scent firmly in green territory rather than tipping toward a floral direction. As the opening settles into the first hour, fir and juniper push through with a cool coniferous bite that feels like walking under evergreens after a cold snap. The juniper adds a faint gin-like crispness, while the fir carries a sappy, needle-fresh quality that ties back to the herbal top. Cedar gives the middle stretch a dry, structured backbone that holds the greens upright, and this is where the fragrance shifts from cold and vegetal toward something woodier and more grounded. The transition is gradual rather than abrupt, with the herbs and conifers overlapping for a long stretch before the woods take the lead. By the dry-down, tobacco and musk warm the base, adding a faint leathery, lived-in quality under all that foliage. The tobacco here is dry and unsweetened, reading almost like cured leaves rather than pipe smoke, and it sits low so the green character never fully disappears. Musk rounds the final hours, softening the edges and letting the whole thing settle close against warm skin. The shift from cold herb to warm wood is the whole story here, unhurried and clear, a slow walk from a damp garden into a dim cedar-lined room. Reactions split hard: some read it as bracing and natural, others find the wormwood bitterness too austere to love.

When to Wear

This belongs to early autumn and cool spring mornings, when crisp air lets the herbal and coniferous notes breathe without turning heavy. Reach for it on a weekend hike, an outdoor market run, or a quiet evening where a green, contemplative scent suits the mood better than anything sweet.

Who Is It For

Someone drawn to austere, nature-facing fragrances who already owns a few gourmands and wants the opposite. It rewards the wearer who treats scent as texture rather than compliment bait.

If this green, herbal direction appeals, explore Dryad by Papillon for a mossy woodland take, or Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle for a denser green floral. Browse more of Gualtieri's raw work in the Orto Parisi collection or the wider Green | Leafy family.

Available as an authentic decant in Bangladesh at Aromatica in 3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml.
