Notes, the scent, when to wear, and who it is for.

Terra sits at the intersection of spice markets and incense trails, and Rayhaan built it that way on purpose. Released in 2025, this Eau de Parfum leans oriental and resinous from the first spray, favoring warmth over freshness. Cardamom and Sichuan pepper announce themselves immediately, sharp and a little tingling, before the composition settles into something denser. Aromatica carries the Rayhaan Terra decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, so you can spend real time with how this one unfolds rather than judging it off a single spritz.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Cardamom, Elemi, Sichuan Pepper, Lemon, Bergamot

Heart: Patchouli, Coriander, Cumin, Anise, Saffron, Orange Blossom, Wormwood, Rose, Geranium

Base: Frankincense, Amber, Vanilla, Benzoin, Opoponax, Oud, Labdanum, Musk, Birch, Maltol, Ambergris

The Scent

The nose catches cardamom first, green and slightly medicinal, riding alongside a peppery buzz from Sichuan pepper that gives the opening real bite. Elemi adds a resinous, almost citric edge underneath, while bergamot and lemon keep things from tipping into heaviness too early. Within minutes the spice cluster thickens: cumin and coriander bring a savory, almost culinary warmth, and anise slides in with a faint licorice sweetness that plays well against the sharper pepper notes. Saffron is where Terra starts to feel expensive, that leathery, slightly medicinal richness threading through the heart. Orange blossom and rose soften the transition, but they never read as floral in the traditional sense, more like a whisper of petals caught in incense smoke. Wormwood is the surprising one here, bitter and herbal, and it cuts against the sweetness enough to keep the fragrance from feeling saccharine. Geranium is easy to miss but it rounds out the heart, adding a faintly minty, rosy contrast that keeps the saffron from turning too heavy on its own. Patchouli starts to surface around this point too, damp and earthy, bridging the spice cluster into the resins waiting underneath. As the heart fades, frankincense and opoponax take over, building a smoky, resinous core that feels lit rather than sprayed. Oud arrives without shouting, more earthy than medicinal, and it braids into labdanum and benzoin for a base that reads amber-heavy and slow. Birch lends a faint smoky dryness to that base, a quiet counterpoint to the sweetness building around it. Vanilla and maltol add a gourmand sweetness in the final stretch, rounded out by musk and ambergris, so the dry-down lands soft, warm, and slightly sweet after all that early spice. Amber ties the whole base together, giving the fading spice and resin a final, glowing warmth before the skin scent settles.

When to Wear

This is a cold-evening fragrance, built for dinners where the heating is on and the lighting is low. Winter weddings and formal gatherings in Dhaka's cooler months suit it far better than a humid afternoon. Pair it with the pieces in the Rayhaan collection if you're building out a rotation of Arabian-style scents for the season.

Who Is It For

Someone who reaches for incense and amber over citrus and aquatics will feel at home in Terra. It suits a wearer who wants their fragrance to announce a room change, not a handshake.

If you enjoy Adonis Oud, it sits in the same spicy, resinous family and is worth comparing side by side. Browse the full Rayhaan collection at Aromatica.
