The Scent
Brighter than the Intense label might suggest, the opening leads with Sicilian Lemon and Orange hitting first, clean and slightly tart, with a thread of Jasmine weaving underneath that keeps it from reading as a mere citrus. The citrus layer is short-lived but purposeful: it lifts the fragrance and prevents the darker notes underneath from feeling heavy right out of the bottle. The amber here is golden rather than smoky, readable rather than suffocating. The woody notes add enough dryness to prevent the whole thing from collapsing into pure sweetness. The final phase is intimate, sitting close to the skin, and carries the cherry-amber pairing in a noticeably softer key than the heart. The closing impression is of dark fruit settled into warm skin, with the powder of the heliotrope now barely perceptible beneath the amber.
