Common Questions
Good to know
-
They come from the same house and opposite instincts. Luna Rossa Black is bergamot into angelica and patchouli over coumarin, amber and musk, a soft, blurred, almost powdery clean. Paradigme is sharper and more structural: Calabrian bergamot with airy musks arriving alongside it, green bourbon geranium as the whole heart, then Peru balm, benzoin and guaiac wood underneath. Luna Rossa Black is the comfortable one; Paradigme is the more deliberate and the drier.
-
Better than most clean masculines, because of where the weight sits. The bergamot goes quickly as citrus always does, but the airy musks arrive with it rather than after it, so there is no gap where the fragrance thins out. Green geranium keeps a bitter, stemmy edge on warm skin instead of turning soapy. The Peru balm and benzoin base does warm and sweeten through a hot afternoon, which is the one thing to watch.
-
That is the genuine split in opinion around it. The clean, structured build, an inverted pyramid with geranium as the whole heart, can read as a genuinely refined masculine with smart architecture, or as clean to the point of being deodorant-adjacent and forgettable. Both reactions come from the same source: how inoffensive and quiet the composition is.
-
Paradoxe Radical Essence, by a wide margin, thanks to its polarising salted pistachio heart. Paradigme takes the safer, more architectural route, built from Calabrian bergamot and airy musks into a green geranium heart over Peru balm, benzoin and guaiac wood, with nothing as unusual as a savoury pistachio note to divide opinion.
