Description - Blue Jeans
Modern fougere, clean and sharp. Versace Blue Jeans EDT decant from ৳406 in Bangladesh, 5ml to 15ml. Notes of lavender, vetiver and cedar.

Few fragrances from the early 1990s have held on with this kind of quiet stubbornness. Versace Blue Jeans, released in 1994 as an Eau de Toilette, was never the centrepiece of the Versace line, but it built a loyal following that keeps it relevant decades later. It is casual, aromatic, era-defining in the best possible way: lavender-forward, slightly herbal, with a warm woody base that keeps things grounded. Aromatica carries the Versace Blue Jeans decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

Fragrance Notes

Top: Bergamot, lemon, anise, basil, palisander

Heart: Geranium, rose, lavender, jasmine, sage, heliotrope, lily

Base: Iris, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla, amber

The Scent

Bright and slightly spicy at once, the first impression arrives with bergamot and lemon coming in clean and sharp, while anise adds a faintly medicinal, almost licorice edge that keeps this from being a straightforward citrus spray. Basil sharpens the greenness underneath. It is a brisk, lively start that smells like something from the barbershop end of perfumery, in the best sense. The citrus lifts away quickly, and as it does, the heart begins to emerge, led firmly by lavender and sage. This is where Blue Jeans announces itself most clearly. The lavender here is not the soft, powdery kind; it has an herbal, almost camphoraceous bite that pairs with the geranium to create a classic aromatic fougere core. Rose and jasmine are present but restrained, adding a soft floral backdrop rather than pushing forward. Heliotrope lends a subtle almond-like sweetness that bridges the herbal top and the warmer base to come. The transition from heart to base is gradual rather than abrupt: the sage and geranium slowly recede as the sandalwood begins to assert itself, pulling the composition toward something softer and more skin-close. Sandalwood and iris take over from the herbs as the fragrance moves into the dry-down, and the composition becomes noticeably softer and creamier. Vetiver introduces a dry, slightly smoky undertone that prevents the base from going too sweet. Patchouli adds depth without going dark. Tonka bean and vanilla then round everything out into a warm, skin-close finish that is woody and gently sweet. The dry-down can read as almost powdery or as cleanly woody depending on skin chemistry, and both impressions are fair readings of the same accord. What holds across both is that it sits close to the skin in its final phase, making it a more personal scent than its aromatic opening suggests. The overall arc moves from something sharp and green to something warm and intimate, with the herbal heart as the connective thread that ties the two ends together.

When to Wear

Blue Jeans works best in spring and autumn, when the air is cool enough for the lavender and herbal notes to feel refreshing rather than heavy. Wear it for casual daytime outings, weekend errands, or informal gatherings where you want to smell put-together without the weight of an evening fragrance. Who Is It For

Anyone who appreciates classic aromatic masculines from the pre-niche era -- whether they grew up with fragrances like this or want to understand why they became so widely loved -- will find Blue Jeans immediately satisfying. It is also a good entry point for anyone new to fougeres who finds heavier ouds and ambers too much to start with.

If you enjoy The Dreamer by Versace, another aromatic-herbal masculine from the same house, it sits in a similar family and rewards comparison. Browse the full Versace collection at Aromatica.

Available as an authentic decant in Bangladesh at Aromatica in 3ml, 5ml, 9ml, and 15ml.
