Kilian Angels' Share Paradis

Raspberry liqueur poured into one of the most copied gourmands of the last decade. Angels' Share Paradis is a 2025 extrait de parfum by Benoist Lapouza, the first flanker to Angels' Share from 2020, and it takes its name from Hennessy Paradis. Kilian Hennessy's own family history with cognac is the thread running through the whole Liquors collection. The Scent

It opens boozier than the original, which is the first thing regular wearers of Angels' Share notice. Cognac and raspberry liqueur come out together and the raspberry is dark and dense rather than candied, closer to a thick fruit liqueur than to a synthetic berry. The apple and cinnamon kick that defined the original opening is largely gone. Bulgarian rose sits in the heart with tonka and caramel, and the rose is the note that most divides wearers, adding a plush, slightly acidic freshness that some find lifts the whole composition and others would rather not smell at all. Oakmoss is the sleeper note. It is not large, but it runs persistently underneath and gives Paradis a fresher, woodier edge the original never had. The base is praline, oak and sandalwood, creamier here than in Angels' Share, with the vanilla reading richer and the chocolate and cinnamon of the original notably absent. The raspberry is the headline achievement for most reviewers because it does not vanish after twenty minutes the way fruit notes usually do, staying anchored to the woods for hours. Not everyone prefers it. A Parfumo reviewer argues the standard Angels' Share is more accurate to cognac and better in every respect, treating this as a fictional flourish rather than the real thing. That framing is a useful one even if you disagree with the verdict. The original Angels' Share is closer to an actual glass of cognac, bittersweet and spicy, while Paradis exaggerates the fruit and cream until it becomes a dream of cognac rather than a record of one.

Reviewers describe the result as pearlier and more lactescent, with amber cream in place of the original's rum-raisin tannins. Wearers are also split on gender lean, with some finding Paradis more masculine than the original and rather more finding it more feminine.
