What sets Sweet Heaven Extreme apart from plain Sweet Heaven?
The original leans into warmth and approachability. Extreme pushes much harder into gourmand territory, opening on roasted coffee, lavender and bergamot instead, then running tonka and geranium through the heart before cherry liqueur, sandalwood and musk close it out as a darker, boozier nightcap. Sweet Heaven is the softer entry point; Extreme is the intensified version of the same DNA.
Does the geranium note clash with Sweet Heaven Extreme's gourmand direction?
It can read either way. Geranium sits between floral and green, and against the coffee-tonka backdrop it either adds a rosy lift that keeps the sweetness from turning cloying, or it feels slightly out of place next to the darker gourmand notes. If you are sensitive to geranium in sweet compositions, that tension is worth testing on your own skin before committing to a bottle.
Is the coffee-and-lavender opening strong enough to last through Dhaka heat?
Not especially. Warm, humid air burns off the roasted coffee and lavender faster than in cool weather, so the tonka-geranium heart and the cherry-liqueur base arrive sooner than expected. That maraschino-like cherry liqueur note can feel heavier in heat since sandalwood and musk take longer to fully settle it, pushing the boozy sweetness to dominate more of a hot day's wear.
Is a decant a sensible way to try Sweet Heaven Extreme?
This is a deliberately intense, divisive structure: roasted coffee and lavender give way to a boozy, maraschino-like cherry liqueur base, and the geranium in between reads differently from nose to nose. A 5ml or 9ml decant lets you confirm whether that combination works for you across several wears before deciding on a full bottle of something this concentrated in direction.
Does Sweet Heaven Extreme suit fans of Angel or Back to Black-style gourmands?
Yes. It is built for wearers who already like coffee-and-vanilla orientals such as Angel or Back to Black but want more edge and an unexpected boozy twist. The coffee opening and cherry-liqueur base supply that intensity, while lavender keeps it from turning into a flat dessert.

Notes, the scent, when to wear, and who it is for.

When the 2024 Eau de Parfum Sweet Heaven Extreme landed in the Gulf Orchid lineup, the name turned out to be an accurate promise rather than marketing noise. The original Sweet Heaven already leaned into warmth and approachability, but this version pushes considerably harder into gourmand territory, landing somewhere between a coffee-laced dessert and a dark, boozy nightcap. Aromatica carries the Gulf Orchid Sweet Heaven Extreme decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

The Scent

Coffee and bergamot arrive together in the opening, but they pull in opposite directions. The coffee is roasted and slightly bitter, the bergamot sharp and citrusy, and between them sits lavender, which keeps the whole thing from tipping into pure gourmand overload. What you get in the first five minutes is something almost caffeinated in feel, alert and slightly aromatic, rather than immediately sweet. The lavender here is not a spa lavender. It reads herbal and slightly medicinal, acting more as a bridging note between the roasted coffee and what is coming later. Tonka moves in fast, much faster than you might expect from a base note, and it shifts the character significantly. It adds a creamy, almost almond-like sweetness that wraps around the coffee and softens the lavender. Geranium is a curious choice here and it is the note that divides opinion. Some find it adds a rosy, green lift that prevents the tonka from getting cloying. Others find it slightly jarring against the gourmand backdrop. Both reactions make sense, because geranium straddles floral and green in a way that either feels purposeful or intrusive depending on your nose. By the thirty-minute mark, cherry liqueur begins surfacing from the base, and this is where Sweet Heaven Extreme earns its name. It is not a fresh cherry, not a candy cherry. It reads like maraschino soaked in dark rum, sticky-sweet with an edge of alcohol that cuts through the creaminess. The sandalwood in the base provides a clean, woody counterweight, stopping the dry-down from becoming a syrup. Musk pulls everything close to the skin and gives the whole composition a soft, intimate finish. By the late dry-down, you are wearing something warm, slightly boozy, and undeniably sweet, but with enough sandalwood structure underneath to keep it grounded.

When to Wear

Sweet Heaven Extreme reads best in autumn and winter evenings, when the sweetness feels like an extension of the colder air rather than a battle against it. It suits candlelit dinners and late-night social gatherings where fragrance is meant to be discovered at close range, not projected across the room.

Who Is It For

People who already love coffee and vanilla orientals but want something with a little more edge and an unexpected boozy twist will find this hits the mark. It suits those who reach for fragrances like Angel, Back to Black, or the original Sweet Heaven and want to push the intensity a notch higher.

If you enjoy the Gulf Orchid Sweet Heaven, this Extreme flanker sits in the same DNA but digs deeper into the dark gourmand territory, and the two wear well as a pair. Browse the full Gulf Orchid collection at Aromatica.
