Description - Rose Magnetic
A gourmand with proper structure. Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic EDP decant from ৳372, shipped across Bangladesh. Notes of tonka bean, vani
What Sophie Labbe did with Rose Magnetic by Essential Parfums in 2018 is not what most rose fragrances attempt. Rather than soften the flower into something pretty and polite, she built an Eau de Parfum around two distinct rose extractions, set them against sharp citrus and leafy mint, and then let the whole thing melt into a warm, gourmand base. The result is unisex in the truest sense: loud enough to have character, clean enough to wear without apology. Aromatica carries the Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes.

The Scent
Bitter grapefruit and cool mint open things with a sharp, herbal edge that feels nothing like a classic floral. The citrus is dry rather than sweet, and the mint keeps it green and slightly spicy. This opening lasts only a few minutes, but it sets the tone for everything that follows. Then the rose arrives, and it arrives in two phases. First comes the solvent-distilled rose essential, which reads as clear, almost transparent, more petals-in-water than garden-in-full-bloom. Underneath it, the Turkish rose absolute begins to rise, richer and warmer, with a slight honeyed quality that the rose essential alone would not have. The two layers together create a rose that feels full and three-dimensional rather than one-note. Midway through the heart, a juicy litchi note threads in, adding a bright, slightly tropical sweetness that lifts the rose without pushing it into fruity-floral territory. This is where Rose Magnetic splits opinion. Some find the litchi-rose combination immediately loveable; others find it slightly too sweet. Both reactions are fair, and neither is wrong. The litchi does not dominate; it reads more like a luminous quality in the rose than a separate fruit accord sitting on top. As the fragrance moves into the dry-down, vanilla and tonka bean soften everything into a warm, cushioned base, with a cedar note providing enough dry structure to keep it from turning powdery. The musks sit close to the skin, giving the late dry-down an intimate, slightly skin-like quality that makes the final stage feel personal rather than broadcast. The full arc runs from sharp and green to floral-fruity to warm-sweet, and each phase is distinct enough to hold attention across the full wear. On warmer skin, the vanilla-tonka base can arrive earlier and more prominently; on cooler skin, the rose tends to linger longer in the mid-stage before yielding. Either way, the transition is gradual and intentional rather than abrupt.
When to Wear
Rose Magnetic suits spring evenings and mild autumn days, worn to dinners, gallery openings, or evening walks in a city when the temperature drops below the humidity line. The warm base makes it better suited to cooler air than high summer heat, and the structured heart holds up well in air-conditioned indoor settings. Who Is It For
Rose Magnetic suits someone who wears florals with confidence but wants a rose that has structure and a warm, slightly gourmand finish rather than a soapy or powdery one. It is equally at home on someone who usually leans toward clean niche fragrances and wants to explore what a well-made rose can do.
If you enjoy Roses Greedy by Mancera, which shares the rose-plus-sweet-base structure, or the softer musk-driven florals of Roses Musk by Montale, Rose Magnetic sits in that family and rewards a direct comparison. Browse the full Essential Parfums collection at Aromatica.
