The Scent

Mandarin and blackcurrant open it bright and tart, a short fruity flash that reads juicy rather than sweet. Jasmine arrives fast and for the first stretch it is beautiful, full and creamy in the way the house does well. Then the bitter almond shows up, and this is the note that decides whether you keep the bottle. The almond is genuinely bitter, not marzipan, and on some skin it turns sour before it resolves.
