Description - Erba Pura
Casual elegance in citrus form. Xerjoff Erba Pura EDP decant from ৳960 in Bangladesh, 3ml to 15ml. Notes of lemon, orange and bergamot.
Xerjoff built its name on maximalist orientals, which makes Erba Pura the odd one out in the Naxos collection. Released in 2019 as an Eau de Parfum, it trades the house's usual density for something bright and almost carefree, a citrus built to feel like the first warm afternoon of the year. Aromatica carries the Erba Pura decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, and it remains one of the easiest Xerjoff releases to recommend to someone who has never tried the brand. The name translates loosely to "pure grass," and the juice lives up to it: green, sunlit, and unfussy in a lineup known for the opposite.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon
Heart: mango, melon, tropical fruit accord
Base: white musk, Madagascar vanilla, amber
The Scent
The first thing the nose registers is citrus, but not the sharp, aggressive kind. Sicilian orange and Calabrian bergamot arrive together, juicy rather than zesty, with Sicilian lemon adding a thin layer of rind underneath. There is no aggressive sparkle here, more like sun through a glass of fresh juice. Within the first twenty minutes, mango and melon start pushing through the citrus, and this is where Erba Pura earns its reputation as a fruit-forward summer scent. The tropical fruit accord is soft and a little creamy rather than candied, so it never tips into dessert territory. Some noses pick up a faint suntan-lotion quality in this stretch, a coconut-adjacent warmth that is not listed as a note but shows up anyway once the fruit and musk begin to overlap. As the citrus fades over the next hour, white musk moves in underneath the fruit, smoothing the transition and giving the whole composition a clean, skin-like quality. Madagascar vanilla arrives gradually rather than all at once, adding a soft sweetness that never turns gourmand. Amber rounds out the base, warm and slightly resinous, anchoring the fruit and musk so the fragrance does not read as thin once the top notes disperse. The dry-down settles into something closer to a warm skin scent than a fruit bomb, musk and vanilla doing most of the work with amber sitting quietly behind them. What is notable is how linear the fruit-to-musk handoff feels compared to most tropical citrus releases, which tend to swing hard between sharp and sweet. Erba Pura keeps its edges soft the entire way through, which is part of why it reads as approachable rather than loud.
When to Wear
This is a beach-bag and boat-deck fragrance, built for humid heat rather than office air conditioning. Wear it to a poolside lunch, a coastal weekend, or an outdoor daytime wedding in peak summer, where its citrus-fruit opening reads fresh rather than cloying. It also works well layered under linen shirts at a rooftop dinner once the sun starts going down, when the musk and vanilla base takes over from the fruit. Who Is It For
Good for someone who reaches for fruity colognes over heavy orientals and wants a citrus scent with body rather than the thin, one-note kind. It also suits a person who likes Xerjoff's reputation but wants an entry point that will not overwhelm a warm room.
If you enjoy the fruit-forward warmth here, Naxos from the same Xerjoff line offers a related citrus-amber character worth comparing side by side. Browse the full Xerjoff collection at Aromatica for more from the house.
