The Scent

The opening is fruity and immediately recognizable. Cherry arrives with a sweet, slightly tart quality, more juicy cherry than medicinal cherry. Guerlain's take is darker, more structural, and headed somewhere different. Within ten to fifteen minutes, a duo of roses takes the center. Turkish rose absolute brings a rich, slightly honeyed quality, and Bulgarian rose essence adds freshness and a faintly green facet. The rose here is dark, supple, and luxurious, typical of Guerlain's expertise with the ingredient.
