Common Questions
Good to know
-
Same house, same coffee note, opposite intentions. Casual Life keeps its coffee quiet under lemon, violet leaf and cardamom, finishing on musk, cashmere wood and white cedar. Urban Feel puts the coffee up top alongside bergamot, ozonic notes and clary sage, then moves to driftwood, cedar and cumin over ambroxan, incense and labdanum. Casual Life is the office one; Urban Feel is drier and darker. See Casual Life.
-
It is the note to test, as cumin always is. Warm skin brings its earthy, faintly sweaty side forward sooner, and here it sits in the heart with driftwood and cedar rather than buried in the base. The ozonic opening that would otherwise mask it goes within minutes. Ambroxan and labdanum underneath stay dry and hold, so wear this after sunset if cumin has bothered you before.
-
It is the comparison the house itself points toward. Both share an ambroxan-forward, woody-fresh backbone, but Acqua Di Gio Parfum carries more presence and projection where Urban Feel stays deliberately quiet and close to the skin. If Urban Feel's controlled, understated character feels too subtle, Acqua Di Gio Parfum offers the same general profile with considerably more volume. See Acqua Di Gio Parfum.
-
Not instantly, no. The combination of airy ozonic freshness against a dry, slightly bitter coffee accent is unusual enough that it needs a few minutes on skin before you can tell whether you find it interesting or simply odd. How it lands depends heavily on your own palate and skin chemistry, so expect an opening that asks for patience rather than immediate approval.
-
The coffee-and-sage opening and the cumin in the heart are both notes that divide reactions sharply, reading as distinctly appealing to some and too quiet or too earthy to others. Sampling the 5ml to 15ml range lets you experience both moments on your own skin, along with how the cumin behaves in Dhaka heat, before spending more on a larger size.
