The Scent

Almond arrives first, and it is a gourmand almond, closer to marzipan than raw nuts, cut immediately by pink pepper's dry sting. Bergamot flickers underneath for maybe ten minutes before it fades, handing the stage over to a plum note that is ripe rather than jammy.
