Common Questions
Good to know
-
Only in the way coconut water does, which is the whole trick of the opening. This is not the thick, sunscreen-style coconut the note usually suggests; it reads clean, dewy and almost watery, and bergamot lifts it further, keeping the first fifteen minutes from feeling tropical at all. The creaminess in this fragrance arrives later, from the bourbon vanilla and cashmeran rather than the coconut itself.
-
Yes. Coconut water and heliotrope are light materials that thin rather than thicken on warm skin, where Alien Goddess Intense uses full coconut and benzoin, both of which gain weight in humidity. The bourbon vanilla here still warms through the afternoon, so this is still not a hot-weather fragrance, just the more wearable one before sunset. See Alien Goddess Intense.
-
It is worth knowing before buying. Heliotrope threads through the jasmine adding an almost almond-like softness that rounds out the heart considerably, and the combination can read surprisingly intimate rather than big and expansive. If powdery, indolic jasmine has bothered you in other fragrances, this heart phase leans into exactly that territory, even though the coconut and vanilla around it soften the effect.
-
Alien Goddess was built specifically as a warmer answer to the original Alien, swapping that fragrance's cold, mineral amethyst quality for something golden and solar. If you already know Alien and want the same house reimagined as lush and approachable rather than otherworldly, Alien Goddess is the direct next step, built on coconut water, jasmine and heliotrope over a vanilla-cashmeran base.
-
The two share obvious DNA but differ meaningfully in weight, coconut water versus full coconut, cashmeran versus benzoin and cashmere wood, so assuming one will feel like the other is a real risk. Trying Alien Goddess in the 3ml to 15ml range first establishes whether you want the lighter, more solar version before deciding if the denser Intense is worth exploring.
