The Scent
Lychee hits first and hits hard. Not a polite suggestion of lychee either, but the full, dripping flesh of the fruit, sweet and faintly floral in the way only lychee can be. Black currant adds a dark, jammy counterpoint beneath it, and red apple brings a crisp snap that keeps the opening from going syrupy. Italian lemon sits underneath all of this, thin and bright, giving the whole top a clean, fizzing lift that prevents it from feeling heavy despite the sweetness. In the first ten minutes, Khair Fusion smells like a perfectly ripe fruit bowl, illuminated rather than weighted down. There is a brief moment around the five-minute mark where the lychee and black currant merge into something almost like a dark fruit candy, before the apple and lemon pull the composition back toward crispness. As the top notes settle, jasmine sambac creeps in with its heady, indolic warmth, complicating the picture in the best way. This is a jasmine that knows its own power, and it does not shy away. Taif rose arrives alongside it, contributing a rosy softness that blends with the pansy's quiet, violet-adjacent presence to build a mid-section that is genuinely floral but never loses the fruity backbone running through it. The jasmine-lychee pairing is where this fragrance earns its identity, sitting together with an almost tropical closeness that feels both lush and airy. Into the dry-down, vanilla settles over the musks, with the sandalwood providing enough creaminess to smooth the transition. Cedar adds a thin, dry edge in the base that keeps the vanilla from going too dessert-like. The overall effect through the dry-down is a warm, skin-close sweetness with a lingering floral memory. Some wearers find the lychee note almost candied by this stage; others enjoy exactly that direction. Both readings are valid.
