Byron Bay shows up in a lot of Australian fragrance stories, but Goldfield & Banks built Bohemian Lime, released in 2020, around a specific memory of that coastline: salt air, first light, and the sharp green bite of native finger lime pulled straight off the tree. It is part of the brand's Australian botanical line, blended without alcohol in a pure parfum concentrate. Aromatica carries the Goldfield & Banks Bohemian Lime decant in Bangladesh in all available sizes, and it is one of the more citrus-forward entries in a lineup that leans heavily on woods and resins elsewhere.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Finger Lime, Coriander
Heart: Aromatic Greens, Vetiver
Base: Cedarwood, Sandalwood
The Scent
Finger lime is the first thing the nose registers, and it does not behave like standard lime. It is greener, slightly bitter, almost vegetal, with tiny caviar-like bursts of juice that read more like biting into the actual fruit than spraying a citrus note from a bottle. Coriander sits right alongside it in those opening minutes, adding a peppery, slightly soapy lift that keeps the lime from turning sweet. Within twenty minutes the aromatic greens start to surface underneath, a leafy, crushed-herb quality that bridges the fruit into something more savory. Vetiver arrives next, and this is where the fragrance splits opinion a little: on some skin it stays earthy and grassy, on others it leans smoky and root-like almost immediately, so the transition into the heart can feel faster or slower depending on the wearer. By the second hour the citrus has faded to a whisper and cedarwood takes over the structure, dry and pencil-shaving sharp rather than creamy. Sandalwood follows in the base, softening the cedar's edges into something rounder and slightly milky without ever going sweet or gourmand. The dry-down settles into a woody, faintly green skin scent that still carries a trace memory of that opening lime, which is the part that keeps people reaching for it again. The greenness never fully disappears, even once the woods dominate.
When to Wear
This is a hot-weather fragrance built for daytime, suited to beach clubs, weekend brunches, and humid afternoons where a heavier woody scent would feel like too much. It works especially well for Dhaka's monsoon season, when the air is thick and a sharp citrus opening cuts through the mugginess. Pair it with anything from the Goldfield & Banks collection if you want a cooler, more resinous counterpart for evenings.
Who Is It For
Someone who finds mainstream citrus colognes too thin and wants a lime that feels grown from soil rather than squeezed from concentrate. It also suits anyone who likes their woody fragrances to open with real tension instead of settling straight into comfort.
If you enjoy Blue Cypress, it comes from the same Australian botanical family and makes a good side-by-side comparison for how differently the brand handles green and woody structures. Browse the full Goldfield & Banks collection at Aromatica.
